March Networks Point-of-Sale Application

March Networks Point of Sale (POS) transaction integration module allows retailers to synchronize video records with their POS transaction data. Integrating video evidence with transaction and exception data allows loss prevention and investigation managers to resolve disputes, prosecute offenders and resolve conflicts much more quickly and effectively. Theft and fraud by internal and external parties can be dramatically reduced.

This capability can be implemented locally, on a per store basis, as well as centrally, where multiple location data and records are collected and processed. Records can be searched for and reviewed rapidly, using custom parameters such as voids, transaction amounts, clerk IDs, etc.

March Networks DVR Viewer Application

March Networks DVR Viewer is our Windows-client application for monitoring live video, and searching, reviewing and exporting recorded video, locally and remotely, over an IP network. From real-time viewing, to rapid searching based on a range of events or criteria, to copying, saving and outputting images and clips, this tool presents its options and evidence in easy-to-learn, easy-to-use windows.

Multiple windows (up to 16) are available for simultaneous viewing of any combination of live and recorded video. Alarm monitoring can include automatic notification and display of real-time video, as well as configurable pre- and post-event recording. Video from any camera or DVR on the network can be displayed, according to access privileges defined by the System Administrator. Audio records, synchronized to their video counterpart, are included if configured. In mobile DVR applications, GSP-based vehicle location and speed data can be synchronized with vehicle video in an accompanying window.

A powerful search engine provides rapid location and retrieval of recorded video based on time or date (with time zone reference), alarm event, motion detection (Activity Scan), ATM or POS transaction data and more. Jog/shuttle emulation provides full control of video playback, including forward, reverse, pause, fast forward or reverse, individual frame stepping and more. A configurable timeline with event markers allows for single-click navigation of video. Brightness, contrast, hue and other image management controls are included for increasing the clarity and usability of evidence. Evidence can be exported easily, locally or remotely, to a file or directly to a USB-connected CD burner. JPEG or BMP images or .AVI clips can be generated, including a tamper-proof security seal (Secure Hash Algorithm) and an auto-run version of our third-party DVR Player application for review.

Available in English or Spanish language format, the DVR Viewer allows video from any number of March Network DVRs to be managed easily and effectively, from any authorized PC on the network. Access is password protected, and the features and functions behave consistently across our line-up of DVRs. March Networks DVR Player Application

March Networks DVR Player is our video playback utility, providing third-parties such as external investigators, law enforcement personnel and judiciary resources with the ability to replay video clips from any March Networks DVR. The software is freely downloadable from the March Networks web site, and is very simple to use. An auto-run copy of the utility is also included automatically with all video clips exported to CD from our DVRs.

All March Network DVRs store and export video clips in .AVI file format. As a result, the video itself is compatible with any PC viewing application, however this DVR Player is necessary to provide surrounding functions such as video authentication, time lines and event markers, and more. Individual video images, on the other hand, including time and date stamps, location ID, etc., can be stored and exported in either BMP or JPEG file formats. These files are fully compatible with both the DVR Player software as well as any PC viewing application.

Examples of the features available to all users include:

  • Reviewing video clips in up to 16 individual windows;
